Digital Image Calibration for Multi-Projector System (DICMS)

DICMS is an industrial R&D project aimed at the development of a large seamless dome displays using overlapping projectors.The  curved  nature of a dome screen and  the  projectors’  different  intrinsic  &  extrinsic  properties  with respect  to  each  other  result  into  geometric  and  photometric distortions  in  the  final  augmented  projection. We shall be employing Computer Vision based algorithms to geometrically and photometrically correct the distortions.


"Project DICMS has immense potential and application for Museums, Planetariums, Gaming, Virtual Reality Simulation.
There  is  in  general  a  lack  of  published  material  for  360  degree  dome  displays.
This shall  provide  a  unique  opportunity  to  the  interested researchers  working  in  this  area."
